Terms of Service
Last updated 6 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Skarvia, the writing studio at skarvia.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Skarvia.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. One person or organization per account; don't share credentials.
Your content is yours
You retain all rights to everything you write in Skarvia. We claim no ownership of your manuscripts, scripts, or any work you create. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you — to store a working copy, display it back to you, run the features you invoke (such as fact-checking and exports), and save files to the storage you connect. That's it.
AI features
Skarvia's assistant researches, checks facts, and flags issues. It does not write your work for you, and the responsibility for what you publish is yours. Automated fact-checking is a tool, not a guarantee: it can miss errors or occasionally flag something that is in fact correct. Always apply your own judgment before relying on a finding, especially for anything consequential.
Acceptable use
Don't use Skarvia to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attack the service (for example by probing its security, overloading it, or abusing the AI or storage features). Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
Connected storage
When you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, you authorize Skarvia to create and manage the Skarvia files it stores there, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your storage provider's own terms also apply to those files. You can disconnect at any time.
Plans and payment
Skarvia currently offers a free plan. If you subscribe to a paid plan in the future, the price, billing period, and what's included will be shown at checkout, and payment will be handled by our payment processor. You can cancel a subscription at any time; it remains active through the period you've paid for.
Availability & changes
Skarvia is offered "as is" while we build it out. We work hard to keep it running and to keep your work safe — which is exactly why your canonical copy lives in your own storage — but we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change or discontinue features. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Skarvia is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data beyond the copies you control in your own storage.
Ending the relationship
You can stop using Skarvia and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. Because your documents live in your own cloud or on your machine, you keep them regardless.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, give notice where appropriate. Continuing to use Skarvia means you accept the update.
